Espoon Tapiot
Espoon Tapiot has been organizing sports activities for residents of Espoo since 1965.
The activities are diverse – the most important ones include:
- Sports play schools
- Athletics schools
- Coaching activities
- Camps
- Competitions
- Adult sports activities
- Training of instructors, coaches, and officials
Our sports are athletics and skiing.
Espoon Tapiot is one of Finland’s leading athletics clubs, with approximately 1,300 members.
The strong development in the 2010s led Tapiot to win the Kaleva Trophy in 2016, which was also recognized as Espoo’s sports achievement of the year. In 2024, Espoon Tapiot ranked sixth in the club league and fifth in youth activity competitions.
The club is an active and significant player in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
Espoon Tapiot engages children, youth, and adults, from hobbyists to top athletes.
Athletics is our main sport, but we also have a small active group practicing, competing, and organizing competitions in skiing. We are also members of the Adult Sports Federation, and some of our members participate independently in veteran competitions. You can find more information about our activities under the different sections of this site.
The activities of Tapiot are managed and planned by the board, committees, and teams. The practical operations are run by volunteer instructors and coaches, as well as club staff.
We warmly welcome you to join our activities!
